September's reflection is Serving with Discernment
As we turn towards Fall in the Northern Hemisphere, we are invited us to look at the systems and structures by which we live our lives, and serve the planet through us be-ing us. How we are be-ing to ourselves and to others is just as important as what we are do-ing with our time, energy, and resources.
What area of the whole human wheel of life needs some attention, some housekeeping, an upgrade or a deep-dive clearing?
Our Souls want us to grow our experience of Self. We come into this world knowing we are expansive, limitless beings. We then are conditioned to forget our true nature, and take shapes that conform to outside conditions and ideas about who we are and how we are to live our lives.
But the world outside is changing - a lot. We are changing, and being asked to own our uniqueness, our authenticity. We can no longer play it safe and stay the same - change is the only constant, and we are called in this 2018 year of Mastery to become a higher version of our selves so we may be of greater service to our communities and the collective. We are invited to embrace wise Discernment - Viveka ("right understanding," in Pali & Sanskrit) - as we plant seeds under this New Moon in Virgo for how we shall carry our plans into the final quarter stretch of the year.
Virgo is the sign of Service and Purity in the zodiac. We are called to use her razor sharp analytical skill in combination with her embodied intuition to make choices that best align with our most pure and authentic selves. To honor what has worked in the past and no longer serves so it can be cleared. To use wise discernment in restructuring our lives and setting intentions for the remainder of the year, and until we meet Virgo again under the full moon in February 2018.
