Honor the Body, the Earth Vessel that carries you

We don’t know how long we have in these bodies, on this Earth.

We don’t know how much time we have with anything we are blessed to experience in this life

Without conscious awareness, and practices to bring us back into presence, we can miss out on the beauty and marvel that is this experience of life in all forms —

the rocks that breathe

the water that sings

the animals that love and love even through their own pain

the ever-evolving Earth that weeps and burns and rebuilds herself over and over again; the tireless will of a Mother, devoted

There can be a sense of ennui when we connect to the vastness that is found in between the pages of Impermanence and the Now

It is a fine line, tightrope, spider thread, baby’s breath between the difference of feeling aloneness and loneliness; both are grand teachers. And —

The Truth is that we are never alone. We are always with our companion body. A gateway to spirit, the cosmology of All. A messenger of the humanness of land.

And yet, how often do we pause to honor Her, the Earth, our Body, the Companions we are blessed to walk this walk with, together in divine Union?

In the words of Ferris Bueller, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

Honor the Body, the Vessel that carries you through this life. Honor the Earth, for She is you, and you are Her. Honor all travelers and companions you meet and share this one precious life with; they too, are You. All shall someday come to pass.

Don’t miss it.
