Feelings & Boundaries: Cancer New Moon Yoga Nidra for the Sacral Chakra [Online]

Your feelings are your Truth.

Too often we give away our power by letting someone else tell us how to feel about an experience, a person, a difficult situation that has come up in our lives. This blocks us from knowing what we truly desire in life - What our purpose is, and what is right or best for us in any given moment.

We may desire to follow our feelings, to make big changes in our lives - to quit that job, leave the relationship, move to a different city, make a major lifestyle change - but end up holding back, staying stuck in what is no longer true for our best selves out of fear of rejection from our family, social groups, coworkers, even society at large that is invested in telling us how we "should" live our lives.

This is your life to live. What is best for you is what is true for you.

What is true for you, is what your feelings tell you - not the worry and fear that conditions our minds.

New Moon in Cancer on July 12th Solar Eclipse, Mars Retrograde

Cancer is a water sign, the element of emotions, that - like water, can take different shapes based on the container we create for our own feelings. How do we relate to difficult emotions? Do we numb out or try to escape them? Do we stuff them away or try to Positive Think our way out of anger or sadness that deserves to be felt and honored?

We too, can take on different shapes based on our relationship to feeling our feelings and the container we choose to create for our experience.

During this New Moon in Cancer, we are asked to understand and redefine what we share with others and what we keep to ourselves. To trust our intuition through having the courage to feel our own feelings and honor them as truth, rather than what is expected by family, friends, society, etc. We will also dive into discussion on the influence of the partial Solar Eclipse and this period of Mars Retrograde.

Honoring our feelings and our boundaries is key to manifestation

Yoga Nidra is a voice-guided meditation performed lying down in bed or on a yoga mat. It includes includes a body focusing exercise that creates a circuit of energy in the motor cortext to relax the brain, some breath and sound awareness practices, and some visualization activities.

It is derived from an ancient Tantra yoga practice and is a simple and efficient way to deeply relax while remaining conscious to reduce anxiety, stress, and insomnia. During the practice, we sink into the parasympathetic nervous system and enter the hypnogogic state, the state between being awake and being asleep.

Just a 15-20min practice provides the benefits of 4 hours of sleep.

1. Improve focus, clarity, creativity, and productivity

2. Deeply relax to reduce physical, psychological, and emotional tension
