Right Relationship with Yourself is Primary

What you appreciate appreciates.

Anything — behavior, thoughts, beliefs, words, actions, habits, relationships — not aligned with what’s your truth is NOT right relationship.

Right relationship with yourself is Primary.

Get clear. Clean that shit up.

Love that part of you that thought that was how we still run things.

Compassion.

Clear Communication.

Right Relations.

If it’s not another’s time or desire to align, then that is clear information. Let go.

Grace.

Trust Yourself.

Simplify. But make it Extra.

You are Completely Whole Unto Your Own Self

Release all that stands in the way of realizing & remembering

“You Are Completely Whole Unto Your Own Self”

“Aia no ka pua i luna” =

“The flower is still on the tree”

When we stop seeking, grasping outside of us we remember our wholeness within; our primary relationship is with ourselves — to create harmony within our own self, we release the violence of struggle in relationship. We forego war for peace — and rediscover the sanctity of inner union that has always resided within

As within, so without

A False Sense of Urgency

A False Sense of Urgency

I am allergic to a false sense of urgency

And yet I still catch myself, from time to time, placing an unconscious false timeline (aka expectation) on when something “should” be done or “should” arrive. I see this in myself in dating & work, two areas where I’m in an evolving study & practice.

Love Is Not Meant to Be Encoded In Fear

Love Is Not Meant to Be Encoded In Fear

I consistently ask the Universe and my Soul for the layers of armor and protection around my heart to be shed — for the Truth to be revealed to me so I may live and love with an undefended heart.

I know the experiences I’ve lived through have made me strong, and that the protection was necessary from the earliest days of my life. And I know I have needed to adjust and shift this armor to make it through what Life itself brings forward to help us grow and evolve as Souls on this planet here to remember Love is not meant to be encoded in Fear.

You Are Born Worthy

You Are Born Worthy

Are you creating experience of self-worth based on a construct that was given to you or are you creating in alignment with your Soul’s Truth?

Your Worth does not exist Outside of You.

Your Work does not have to require Struggle.

You do not have to Prove your Worth.

You do not have to Hustle to Get Worthiness.

You are Enough, As You Are.

You are born Worthy,

And You are Loved.

I am writing to you from a place where I learned so much about Hard Work, Struggle, Sacrifice. My parents built this cottage with their bare hands -

Our Personal Practice of Gratitude Creates Healing for Ourselves & Humanity

Our Personal Practice of Gratitude Creates Healing for Ourselves & Humanity

The Alchemy of Gratitude

When we embody the energy of gratitude we align with the energy of value — each item we name and feel grateful for is an expression of what we choose to value.⠀⠀

It is easy to name those things in our life that we feel good about having or experiencing.

This is an invitation to expand your concept of gratitude to include those experiences and circumstances that are difficult, not what you want, and quite frankly can suck in the moment.

We are asked to remember that all the world / Universe / God / Source / Beyond / etc. offers us is for us, even the rough spots, sh*t shows, and traumas. They all serve our growth and expansion, if we alter our perception.

If we chose to value those “undesirables” with the wisdom that they too contain medicine *for* our healing, growth, and expansion, then we create the opportunity to deeply release & transmute the negativity we carry about them.

Receptivity is the Energy of Opportunity

Receptivity is the Energy of Opportunity

Receptivity is the energy of opportunity. When we are receptive, the energy is open, allowing, wondrous. Close your eyes and just feel into the word
R E C E P T I V E.  It has a gentleness to it, a quality of potentiality.

When we think about potential -- what could happen -- there is also a degree of uncertainty that comes with it. We don’t quite know what will drop in.

In my Service is my Purpose

In my Service is my Purpose

As we turn towards Fall in the Northern Hemisphere, we are invited us to look at the systems and structures by which we live our lives, and serve the planet through us be-ing us.  How we are be-ing to ourselves and to others is just as important as what we are do-ing with our time, energy, and resources.

What area of the whole human wheel of life needs some attention, some housekeeping, an upgrade or a deep-dive clearing?

How we Lead our Lives is How we Lead Others

How we Lead our Lives is How we Lead Others

We cannot expect we can show up for others - our family, friends, colleagues, partners - as our best selves if we don't first show up for ourselves with the Courage and Strength (Leo qualities) to choose a higher choice for the expression of our Be-ing. To make the necessary internal changes to then be expressed on the world's stage.  This is how we begin to live a whole human life, with Self-Leadership for our thoughts and choices, Self-Responsibility for what we create in the world, grounded in the Wisdom of the Body, the Truth of our Soul, crafted with Love and Care for Self and Others.

The Silence Before Molting, Before Rebirth

The Silence Before Molting, Before Rebirth

Mouna, or silence, is a Yogic practice of keeping quiet, and measuring one's expression of the senses.

To observe Input and Output.

Think about that for a moment.

In.

Out.

In.

Out.

Like the breath.

In practicing Mouna we become aware of boundaries, the liminal space between In and Out.

We become aware of our internal state, our feelings, just by getting quiet.

Standing in the Sun

Standing in the Sun

Summer Solstice is the half-way point of the year, the Summer Equinox, the start of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere.

If we consider the entire year as a cycle, this day in the Northern Hemisphere is when the energy of the sun is at its highest expression before it shifts direction, before the light descends steadily back into darkness until her sister, Winter Solstice, arrives.

And in the Southern hemisphere, today is when we have the darkest of days - an invitation to be at still and at peace in the dark - before coming back into the light.

We are all on this planet together. No matter which hemisphere we happen to be in, we will feel both the energies of light and dark, the duality that is the spiral of Nature.

Say What You Mean

Say What You Mean

When we compromise on saying what we need, or hold back on sharing what we feel because we are afraid of how someone will respond, we sacrifice our own Power. We deny the validity of our thoughts and feelings. We effectively choose Fear over our own Truth.

We do this enough times in the workplace, or with romantic partners, friends, family, etc., and we may feel like we don't even know what we think, feel, and believe anymore because we have so blocked ourselves from expressing our true experience of life.
